Under 8's Day

Under 8’s Day at Bunker’s
It was great to be under 8 at Bunker’s Hill State School last week.  The school hosted its own Under 8's celebration by having a “Beach Party”.
Teachers and staff planned a wonderful event with lots of hands-on and fun activities all centred around the beach.  The beach volleyball was a huge hit and with the sun shining it was a great day to be outside.  Students were given the chance to wander around and engage in a whole range of activities both outside and inside the hall.
Thanks to Senior Constable Steve from the Police and Peter from the Ambulance for bringing out their vehicles and allowing the students to get an up-close and personal look inside.  The sirens wailed and the lights were flashing many times during their visit.
Mrs Katrina Byrd was also kept very busy, painting the faces of the students.  Superheroes were a firm favourite as well as rainbow butterflies.  Many thanks to Katrina for donating her time, talent and face paints for the day.
Many of the older students were wishing they were under 8 again!
