ANZAC Day 2017

24/04/2017
Bunker’s Hill State School commemorated ANZAC Day by having a service inviting community members, ex-service men and women and parents.  Every year the students proudly acknowledge our servicemen and women by hosting a service at the school near our ANZAC garden.  Planted in our school ANZAC garden is a pine tree that is a descendant from the trees that grew on the Lone Pine Ridge at Gallipoli.  Our special guest speaker was Lieutenant Colonel Tim Baker who is also proud parent from Bunker’s Hill State School.  Selected students were chosen to lay wreaths at the service and for the first time we had a special guest Mr Eddie Kemp play the Last Post and Reveille on his bugle.  The service was very moving and a tribute to all of the past and serving men and women.
